Lakhs of Engineering aspirants will appear for JEE MAIN 2018 and most of them would have been toiling for two years to prepare hard for the exam.

By now most students would have completed their revision, so here is a list of important tips subject wise that they may want to have a last look before entering the examination room:

**Physics**

For** Physics questions** read the question carefully and figure out the unit of the answer and then see which option fits the best. Most **Optics** related questions have only one-step solutions. Compare options with the question given and you will be easily able to find the answer. Electricity-related questions are property-based. When you read them carefully you will figure out that only one or at the most two options satisfy the property in question.

**Chemistry**

**Periodic Table questions** are always based on properties of various elements. If you know them properly then those marks are yours. Thermodynamics is a familiar topic in Physics and Chemistry both. Thermodynamics question asked in one subject is based on the same concept as asked on another subject, with just __(just in case definition)__ the opposite system of logic. The same thing is applicable to Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Chemistry as well. **Physical Chemistry questions** are always numerical questions on **Electrochemistry. **

**Organic Chemistry comprises of 50% questions in Chemistry**. Hence, you should know all the reactions well. Compare options with the reactions; only one or two will be relevant.

**Mathematics**

For **Coordinate Geometry**, avoid solving the equations. Only put the given options in the equation and see what fits. This will save a lot of time. For **Integration**, only differentiate the given options and find the answer. In **Differentiation** problems, integrate the given options and see what fits. For **Algebra** look for the options carefully to see which one has an anomaly. In 99% cases, the option with the anomaly will be the right answer. In **Quadratic Equations**, 90% questions are based on properties of alpha, beta, and gamma where one has to find the sum or the product of roots. Revise the properties well and the rules so that these questions are easy to solve. For **Complex Numbers**, analyze the question to figure out if the answer would be an imaginary number or a real number. Most of the time __(race against time phrase meaning)__ two options are necessarily real numbers. Eliminate the choices which don’t fit in and try to check which one could be the correct answer.
