Reportedly Indian institute of technology – Kanpur is planning to start their Radio Mathematics project for class X and XII students. IIT-Kanpur has its own community radio service which can be accessed by tuning in to 90.4 megahertz.
Prof Satyaki Roy of IIT-Kanpur said math classes through community radio of IIT-Kanpur is expected to go on air by the first week of December. He said the service will be for students who live on and around IIT-Kanpur campus and where the community radio could be accessed. He added the concept had been named the Radio Mathematics Project.
“Through this initiative we will be able to answer mathematical queries of students of secondary and higher secondary classes. Work is on in this direction and some of the IIT-Kanpur students along with their professors have already started working on it,” said Prof Roy.
