JEE Main, the national level entrance exam for engineering, is conducted every year. The ‘India Rankings 2 were put together with the participation of 3,500 private and public institutions, which were ranked by National Bureau of Accreditation (NBA) based on five criteria — teaching and learning resources, graduation outcome, perception, outreach and inclusivity and research productivity. All institutions were judged based on self-disclosure of information.
Medical Counselling Committe (MCC) has declared the NEET seat allotment result for round two on September 12, 2016. The counselling of NEET 2016 second round had began from September 9, 2016. Earlier, the seat allotment result for round one has been declared on August 28, 2016. This must be noted that as many as 1886 MBBS and BDS seats were vacant after first counselling round of NEET 2016 due to non-joining and resignation.

The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2017 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras this year. IIT Madras had conducted JEE back in 2010, and is all set to be the conducting institute for the forthcoming JEE 2017.This is a national level exam, which is conducted for admission to various Bachelor’s degree programmes in eighteen IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM).
Salient Features of JoSAA
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2016 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 92 institutes for the academic year 2016-17. This includes 22 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.
An official notification stating the changes that will be made while giving the admissions in IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s and CFTI’s from year 2017 has been published on the website of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development).
